Spawnpoint 4.5 is currently BETA but will get BETTER! 0 Comments
As you can see Spawnpoint 4.5 has finally hit the web! We've got a few new features and a fresh coat of shiney paint!
This is Spawnpoint “4.5” and not Spawnpoint “5.0” because we considered this to be an incremental update. We didn’t update the “core” functionality too much and mainly focused on a some functional updates and new graphics and skins. We had plenty of new ideas and features we want to add but we had get real and figure out what could be done now (Spawnpoint 4.5), and what can be tackled at a later date (Spawnpoint 5.0).
Since this is a “beta” site it’s pretty rough around the edges. I assure you things will get smoother. If you’ve been around here for a while you’ll have seen that Spawnpoint has evolved to this point. It will continue to grow and improve moving forward. Your suggestions and your involvement help greatly so keep it coming!
If you recall Spawnpoint 4.0 wasn’t much of a looker. I did my best to apply some graphical “band-aids” but Labec & I pushed hard for an entire new look for 4.5. I’m very happy with how the new look and skins turned out. The skins are completely controlled by CSS so they load quickly and are easy to modify. The forums will be getting refresh to match the new look in the near future – consider that Spawnpoint 4.6 ;)
If you have any compliments I would like to explain that Spawnpoint is a very large functional website that could not be done without programmers, content producers (including the users) and the vision of the core staff. If you think the pictures & imagery I've created are pretty then thank you very much but I can’t take credit for the entire team’s excellent work!
There’s plenty more ahead so keep your scopes locked here!
